RBAC: Applying a Role to a User

From Users and Roles, select Users:

Tick the checkbox for the user created for the lab and click the Edit Role Assignment button:

In the Edit Role Assignment wizard, tick the checkbox for Global VMware Admins and click the Save button:

Once complete, you will notice that the Global VMware Admins role has been applied to the user account:

NOTE: You may notice Replace Roles and Append Roles options in the wizard. Since this is the Owner account, it only allows for appending roles. Additionally, since this account has superseding rights, it does not impact the permissions granted by the role. However, if this were a user account with no rights, the role permissions would be applied as directed in this exercise.
