Global Search

With Global Search, you can identify protected objects (such as virtual machines), Rubrik clusters, or even individual files and folders:

For example, type in "zaffre" (the name of the fictional company) in the search bar. As a result, the Global Search will populate protected virtual machines, as well as individual files that were also picked up by the query:

Remember, RSC is a global management and control plane. This means you can search for protected data across your entire Rubrik deployment - saving you time and effort during data recovery or other administrative tasks.

You can close the Global Search by clicking the 'X' in the top-right corner.

Now that we have our bearings let's dive into the Data Protection dashboard and explore how you can extract essential information from the dashboard. In the top-left hand of the UI, click the Rubrik icon:
