# New-RubrikLogBackup

## SYNOPSIS

Runs an on demand log backup for the specified database id.

## SYNTAX

```
New-RubrikLogBackup [-id] <String> [[-Server] <String>] [[-api] <String>] [<CommonParameters>]
```

## DESCRIPTION

This cmdlet initiates an on-demand transaction log backup for a specific SQL Server database.

## EXAMPLES

### EXAMPLE 1

```
New-RubrikLogBackup -id MssqlDatabase:::c5ecf3ef-248d-4bb2-8fe1-4d3c820a0e38
```

### EXAMPLE 2

```
Get-RubrikDatabase -ServerInstance FOO -Name BAR | New-RubrikLogBackup
```

Iniitaite a log backup for the BAR database on the FOO instance.

## PARAMETERS

### -id

Rubrik's id of the object

### -Server

Rubrik server IP or FQDN
