SQL Availability Groups

So far, you have looked at different recovery options and identified which of the recovery options can be used for various scenarios. Now, you will look at one last option for disaster recovery by creating a synchronous copy of a DB for Disaster Recovery as part of the Microsoft SQL Server Availability Group.

Microsoft SQL Server Availability Group

Microsoft SQL Server Availability Group databases are actively involved in database mirroring sessions and cannot be automatically replaced by a backup based on Microsoft SQL Server requirements.

As a result, Rubrik does not allow users to directly export, restore, or Live Mount any database into an Always On Availability Group (AAG) until databases are removed from the Availability Group.
